I would like to explain my url.

I am a young woman in a modern world,  there are many things I enjoy that are from my time....
hip hop, ipods, internet

.....but I feel like I have some Ol'timer in me as well, they grew up in a time of hardwork, respect, and they aprpreciated what they had, mostly because it wasn't much. Thats why I love to sit and talk with those who have stories of the war, change, heartache, passions, and they know how to milk a cow!


Are you in this boat? My blog is called pour Newlyweds, and yes, it does have a double meaning. In the French language, which I studied in high school for three years and this is the first time I am using it (stay with me, there will be a lot of tangents.)  pour = for in English.

So you would think my blog is for newlyweds. Well, sort of, it will probably have mushy, crazy newly married junk but it also means, pour = poor = stuggles. Struggles of an individual, a wife, a Christian, a traveler, a worry-er, a want-er and a spontaneous girl

  A boat filled with two newly married people, who may not have been fully prepared to start a life together, that struggle (really struggle) with money, who bicker, complain, and even have water fights but know that they were put together for a reason by a higher, loving power. We know, we were chose for each other.

We know this isn't going to be easy, but easy isn't fun, if there were no fights there would be no make-up (yes, I mean sex, sorry to my younger readers : ) We also know it is ok to fight, we have promised never to give up on each other, we pray for each other, and we are working on communicating better ; )

Even if you are not in this particular boat, don't count me out. I bet I will surprise you : }
And I do like feedback but please do not yell or curse at me, I don't take that well and this is just my thoughts.

At this point, I have been married about 6 months. I am already learning that this is not a 50/50 deal. A spouse should give 100%. And they should expect 100%
